Trojan ENZ Is a Time-Honored Classic Condom

If you have a sense for classics of any kind we have a treat for you. Trojan ENZ, which we talk about today, is a classic among condoms. This protective sheath has been covering men's penises coast to coast and beyond for several generations now.

In this article, we look at Trojan ENZ – the signature trusted item from the #1 condom brand Americans turn to for safer sex protection. We understand that the opening might make you think we are going to talk about your grandfather's condoms. Nothing could be further from the truth. The only thing old about this time-tested Trojan condom type is how long it has been serving its users.

Read on as we get into the nuts and bolts of Trojan ENZ.

What is Trojan ENZ?

Trojan ENZ is what you call a standard rubber latex condom. Nothing fancy and no special bells and whistles but that doesn't mean there are none at all. If you are looking for a trusted condom, this is it. Available in three variations.

Why is Trojan ENZ a classic?

The term classic refers to a few things. The first is how long this condom has been in Trojan's product selection. The second is the straight wall shape, which is considered the original condom shape. The third is its standard thickness. ENZ comes in several variations, and we introduce you to them all in a moment. First, let's talk about the material used to make these condoms.

Material

Since these rubbers have been in Trojan's inventory for a long time, it's only logical that the condom material is natural rubber latex. This versatile material is the number one choice for condoms and has been for almost hundred years.

Note: Natural latex is still the most used material for prophylactic making.

Color

Natural rubber latex condoms come in a variety of shades of colors. Several factors alter the condom color, one of which is the particular ingredients added during the material manufacturing process. Trojan ENZ has a light, milky white transparent color.

Scent

Today's condoms are not only much more effective but also have a more pleasant or at least not as disturbing smell. That is a definite improvement since condoms in the past were not as welcoming or hospitable to olfaction.   Once you remove the Trojan ENZ from its wrapper, you will notice a slightly powdery scent. In comparison to some other condoms, we would refer to it as the usual scent. In general, as we mentioned, condoms of today do not smell as strongly even compared to not that long ago.

Expiration

The design of Trojan ENZ allows you to put it into action for up to five years after its manufacturing date. That holds true under the normal storing conditions.

Please, do not torture your condoms by keeping them in your hot car during summer or any high-temperature days, then anticipating them to remain in top shape after. Keep your condoms in your home closet or nightstand for prolonged storage periods.

Avoid places where the temperature and air moisture fluctuates since those factors could have an adverse effect in the more extended run.

Shape

We referred to Trojan ENZ as a classic several times throughout this article and this applies mainly to its straight wall shape. The shape of a condom is a factor in how a prophylactic feels and because we are all so different, the perception of feeling consequently varies. There are thinner and softer condoms out there, but in terms of shape, you can’t go too wrong with an ENZ.

Effectiveness

The effectiveness of Trojan ENZ condoms is as high as it is for any other natural rubber prophylactics. The rate will be high for you too if you use them correctly every time you have sex.   We recommend using common sense, and most of all, educating yourself about how to get the most out of this proven men's birth control.

Size

ENZ is available in a standard size. If you usually use a smaller condom you still want to try it out. The thickness is standard so if you need something ultra thin you might want to look into Trojan BareSkin condoms since these are 40% thinner.

  • Width: 52 mm / 2.05"
  • Length: 190 mm / 7.48"

Lubrication

Water-based

Condom lubrication is an important feature when it comes to prophylactic usage and it's no different in the case of ENZ. The out-of-the-wrapper lube is water-based and is on the outside wall. Water-based lubes tend to dry out a little quicker due to evaporation. We recommend having additional lubricant handy to reapply as needed.

Note: Do not use oil-based lubricants on this condom since they weaken the natural latex, making it more prone to breakage.

Spermicide

If you are seeking extra pregnancy avoidance protection, the Trojan ENZ Spermicidal is your advisable choice. Just remember that the spermicide lube can be a bit less gentle to the sensitive skin of your private area.

That is the reason for possible irritation or redness some people experience. Read up more about condoms with spermicide.

Caution: You shouldn’t use condoms with spermicide more than once a day for vaginal use. They are also not designed for anal sex.

You may wonder

Are they thin?

Trojan ENZ does not make it into the ultra-thin category. They are regular thickness condoms. It’s kind of like Goldie Locks and the Three Bears – not too thick and not too thin. It’s just right.

Will they break?

The strength and durability of all Trojan condoms is nothing you need to question. Nowadays, prophylactics are incredibly reliable, and the only thing that may compromise them is a user’s uninformed handling and use.

Are they comfortable?

Comfort is the primal goal of every condom manufacturer, and it has something to do with the size and also the material softness. Refer to the size section of this article to see the specific dimensions.

Does Trojan ENZ have spermicide?

Yes, there is one Trojan ENZ is available that has spermicidal lube for extra pregnancy protection. Our selection of spermicide rubbers is not limited to this single item, however.

To wrap it up

Throughout this article, we told you that Trojan ENZ is a classic.

This latex condom gets its bragging rights due to the long time it has been around as well as for its universally accepted shape.   If you have no idea where to start when it comes to safer sex or are just looking for something different to try, Trojan ENZ is a great bet. You really can’t go too wrong with it. Classics are classic for a reason.

Give it a go and see what you think.   In any case, always remember that it's better to use any condom you might have than not use one at all. Be a classic and Hump responsibly.
